I work in the Network team within Gateshead Council’s ICT Services. I joined the Council back in September 2000, in the role of Telecom Officer. This position has given me experience of working within a large multi site environment, bringing with it many technical challenges. The main part of the job is looking after the Council’s telephony infrastructure, this involves programming, moves and changes, new installations, advising on new telephony solutions, training and liaising with third party suppliers and maintainers.

The majority of my telephony skills were gained from working in the private sector. I spent a year working/travelling in Australia before coming home to work five years in First Class County Cricket. At present l enjoy the flexible working hours which help with my favourite pass time – holidays!
